Macka Diamond says she will retire at the end of the year

After more than three decades, the veteran deejay says she is stepping away to focus on family.

Macka Diamond, who first came up as Lady Mackerel, told THE STAR she will put down the microphone at year’s end, saying parts of the industry no longer want her.

She thanked her fans for their support and said she wants to reunite with her son after giving “too much of my life to music.”
